Background: Xue Yi doesn't really like to divulge many details about her past. The most she will offer to others is that her father was both a statesman and a military leader and that her mother was a hero who fought against beings of power alongside her godmother and several others. Whenever pressed for more information she merely replies that her parents prefer their privacy now that they have retired from their respective duties. Any attempts to get further than that leads to her pet pig Xu being thrown into a person's face.

What can be confirmed -even without asking her is that she had undergone rigorous military training in the country of her birth. Reflexes that had been honed through long years of training and drilling, and sharpened instincts from time spent in the mountains and wilds of her homeland.She additionally had inherited abilities from her mother that could be distinctly categorized as superhuman... though they are a far cry from what her parent could do - she still uses them to great effect.

Xue-Yi unlike her siblings who wished to stay in the homeland had chosen to wander. Travelling with various groups - either as a guard or just another face in the crowd - but more than often having to leave for various reasons. More often than not there would be instances of violence wherever she travelled, though it wasn't without cause - it was the sort of thing that would draw too much attention if she remained in the same place too long. In her travels, a sense of relative anonymity was her friend - especially if it meant that people that required severe attitude adjustments wouldn't see her coming.

Eventually she would find her lonely travels coming to an end. Remembering the stories from her parents of how they spent their years in the time before they had settled down in the homeland as well the emergency that had temporarily drawn her family away from their home during her childhood, she would soon find herself working together with a group of mismatched personalities as they did. Though that time would not yet come...

Xue Yi would find herself drawn into a conflict between a nation split by civil war, threatened by an unknown third party. The Northern faction kept her as their prisoner and their secret weapon... Or they believe they do at the very least.

Personality: Xue Yi has a calm and collected personality, being relatively reasonable - this does not mean though that she is all cold logic - as she's given to strong emotional responses just as anyone else - being an older sister and the firstborn child though, she often does her best to internalize as much as she can in order to provide either a good example of a pillar for her younger siblings to hold onto until they can stand on their own once more. Given certain moods she can be surprisingly warm, and even affectionate - she often lavishes such attention on her pet pig Xu.

Xue Yi is a person who enjoys independence and the freedom it can grant - but she also knows just how much a person can struggle when they are alone. Her Mother and Father - who in the years before their marriage - had been fiercely independent and dogged companion respectively. Such contrasting viewpoints and whatever tales of their youth she could catch from their visiting friends gave her many views. An appreciation to both the life of the Solitary Wanderer, as well as that of the Eternal Comrade.

That being said though - being the child of her parents does have its difficulties. One of these difficulties is the preference to her mother's approach to problem solving - i.e. Punching a problem in the face. Especially if its a person. Repeatedly if necessary. Additionally while she does not have the level of social awkwardness associated from a childhood spent in the wilderness or one raised in an insular, highly militaristic society - her grasp of social norms, while stronger than her parents, is still a little hit and miss. She also has an addiction to chocolate. If she considered it a problem she would blame her father, as well as her father's deceased mentor for that - but she doesn't. Woe betide to those that attempt to separate her from it.

While she isn't necessarily violent by nature, her actions during a battle would feel as if they were very contrary to that belief. When she fights, both in and out of her machine it is often brutal, vicious and more than often without mercy. She's a soldier who is flexible, who knows how to fight dirty and won't hold back unless there was a very good reason to. Killing is something only restricted to a battlefield, a rule that she was raised by... though the definition of battlefield can be stretched - if any opponent approaches with the intent to kill, Xue Yi will do her best to make sure they won't live past the day.

Also when she feels a conversation that isn't threatening but is honestly more annoying there she throws Xu at the face of the offender. The pig is used to this kind of treatment and is in fact trained to cling to his victim's face for a set moment of time before letting go and scrabbling for safety behind Xue Yi's legs. Apparently her father believed this to be an acceptable compromise than just simply breaking a person's nose for a petty annoyance.

Capabilities and Resources: Xue Yi is trained both in piloting and infantry work. She also has the ability to manipulate heat - or the lack of thereof, she can use the ability in anything she is in close contact with, or just herself. She also has a pig. She throws it at people when she wishes to end conversations that irk her.

Robot Name: CBR-01 'Peerless Blade Striking Enemies of Nation' (PBSEN)

Robot Description: The PBSEN is North Choson's mass produced war machine. It is cheap. That is literally the ONLY advantage it has. It has minimal armor, weak weapons and has a sheer amount of issues that plague it through every instance of it activating. A PBSEN getting a shield would give it a 0.5% increase in survivability and that would be given applause by the design committee in charge of them. The PBSEN is a ground focused machine - capable of rapid movement across terrain via a 'skate system'. Unfortunately this system tends to have tremendous issues in rough terrain and requires large amounts of skill to use effectively - otherwise the slightest obstruction can send it crashing into the ground. The problem gets even worse when the boosters that were included to increase the momentum of the skate system are on full burn.

In terms of armament the PBSEN is armed with an assault rifle with a retractable bayonet, as well as several grenades. There are no other weapons at all. The moment the assault rifle has been completely drained, North Choson Pilots are expected to extend bayonets and close with the enemy in a charge. Essentially a suicidal tactic and one that is completely useless against airborne foes.

The PBSENs also have very limited use in space - the thrust packs that they utilize to give their charges more speed can help them manuever... just not well enough compared to other machines.

Its a testament to Xue Yi's skill that she can use a walking coffin like this with any sort of effect.

(NOTE: The reason for the surprisingly low number was that the North Choson Government refused to use the number 1 until they found something pleasing to them. As such the PBSEN's forebearers had CBR - 0.54231 or CBR - 0.128734 as their serial number. Yes they made that many redesigns.)

Robot Name: CBR-88888888 'Almighty Spear Pierces Foes of The Invincible Choson People' (ASPFICP)

Robot Description: If one places several monkeys into a room with typewriters, there's a chance that one will type Shakespeare and twice a day, a broken clock is correct. It goes without saying that sometimes even a complete idiot can have a good idea sometimes. After a long struggle against a foe that was grinding their massive army down, someone finally sat down and thought 'I think we need better robots for our pilots'. That man was then shot and his body unceremoniously tossed in a ditch. After several weeks of casualties, the people in charge figured he really did have a good idea and went to go recover the man from his home where he remained ever since he only had an extremely minor injury from the shooting and getting shoved into the ditch hurt him more.

The ASPFICP is a vastly improved version of the PBSEN, now instead of having paper armor, its possibly more along the lines of sturdy cardboard. All jokes aside about North Choson engineering - the ASPFICP while almost as cheap as its predecessor, it far more reliable than the PBSEN ever was. The Skate System is less troubled by rough terrain, it can maneuver better in space and in terms of armaments, it has more than a weak machinegun, a few grenades and a bayonet to bring to the table.

The primary armament is what is more or less a large autocannon designed for use with both hands. Like the PBSEN's machinegun it also has a retractable bayonet. There are several grenades stored in the shoulder compartments, and additionally there is also a back mounted vertical missile launcher. In addition, the left arm is more heavily armored - allowing it to be used to generally pummel an opponent at extreme close range.

While the PBSEN was nothing but a joke, the ASPFICP can be genuinely threatening when properly used.

Robot Name: 'Yuanrang' Combat Frame

Robot Description: A flight capable machine that utilizes a particularly powerful thruster array design - though said array has several limiters installed, earlier prototypes developed in Xue Yi's homeland had caused pilots to black out mid-flight and only several contingency plans prevented any fatalities. The machine itself is designed for speed and power - with its defensive capabilites more or less being average thus making it a machine that relies completely on the skill of its pilot to survive any sorties. Additionally, disabling the limiters led to several severe heat issues throughout the machine.

In terms of ranged armament the Yuanrang is armed with a pair of Dao-Class Assault Weapons as well as hidden missile launchers in its legs and head vulcans. The Dao AW is a short ranged weapon designed to spit out as many rounds as possible, though this is also something of a problem as the Yuanrang can only carry a limited amount of ammunition for all of its weapons due to most of its space taken up by the thruster system and numerous stabilization mechanisms.

For close combat the Yuanrang has a pair of impact field generators installed in each hand - essentially a small barrier would be formed around the fist of the machine, which would allow it to counter the close range options of an enemy machine as well as retaliate up close without damaging any of the hand's mechanisms. Additionally, the Yuanrang's right hand has one other feature.... when activated, the arm would reconfigure - shifting any parts that are unprotected or would be otherwise damaged from mass amounts of excess heat and allow Xue Yi to use her abilities to shunt any excess heat into the arm as an offensive weapon.

Xue Yi's abilities allow her the option of disabling the Yuanrang's limiters and pushing the machine to its very limits for far longer than other pilots would risk. However even without any heat damage - the exertion placed on the parts of the mecha could very well damage it - not to mention the massive strain Xue Yi would face between using her abilities for extended amounts of time in addition to whatever pressure her own piloting would press down on her.

As a side note, the Yuanrang's cockpit also has several compartments that allow its pilot to store emergency survival gear and stow any weapons in the event of a crash in hostile territory. One has to wonder what kind of country Xue Yi came from that believed such measures were necessary.
